Inside VA Options->Advanced->Fonts and Colors
If "Views" was checked, listboxes will get colored, even with "Listboxes" unchecked.

Both VS2003 and VS2008 shows the same problem.

PS. I was upgraded from 1738 to this version, everything is fine under 1738, maybe this is an regression? Or something wrong happened while upgrading?

Odd, I am not sure why C# should do this. I have put a note on the case about this.

This problem exist in C++, C# works fine...for a while. The listbox didn't get colored at first, after I checked the "Listboxes" option, it get colored correctly; After I unchecked the option, it still get colored. Restart VS2008, everything back to normal...for a while. When I tried this again, BOOM! Now listbox will always get colored if "Views" is checked, just like in C++.

Thank you for the about information, I am now able to reproduce this problem:

case=49100

this is a regression, but it is OS specific. I was testing under a different OS, and needed to try Vista to reproduce this problem.

I don't need to do anything special to reproduce this problem, just anything to make the listbox appear, like Ctrl+J after "." or "->".

And that reminds me something I did: After I upgraded to VA1830, I found out the settings on Fonts and Colors page isn't the same when I was using VA1738: The "Listboxes" is checked and "Views" is unchecked, which is exactly the opposite result. So I checked "Views" and unchecked "Listboxes" before I start to work.

PS. I tried check/uncheck other coloring options, but they doesn't affect the coloring in Listboxes, only Views and Listboxes do.
PS2. If I check Listboxes and uncheck Views, everything works as expected.
PS3. I think I'll try a full uninstall-reinstall later, see if that helps.

So far I cannot reproduce this in either VS2003 or VS2008. If I turn off colouring Listboxes, and leave all other colouring on the:

VA Options -> Advanced -> Fonts and Colors

page turned on then listboxes are not coloured for me.

Which OS and programming language are you using?

What are you typing to produce these coloured listboxes? I am wondering if the type / nature of the listbox is somehow a factor.
