It would be very handy for me, to be able to supply a parameter to a snippet (say "Fred"), and access it within the snippet as "FRED" or "fred". In other words, to upper or lower case the whole thing.
Is this possible?
If not, could it be made possible, please?

thanks,

Brian

I understand now, thank you for the clear explanation. This is a feature we are considering adding at some point:

case=2765

Unfortunately I don't currently have any estimate on when this might be done.

Sure,
I need to supply a parameter which can then be accessed in its unaltered form (FrEd), its uppercase form (FRED) or its lower case form (fred) at different places in the same snippet.
Currently, I have to specify 3 parameters to do this.

Sorry for the confusion,

Brian

Can you explain what you are trying to achieve here?

I assume you want something slightly more clever than typing the parameter "Fred" only to have it replaced with "fred" in the VA Snippet, since if that is all you wanted, why not just type "fred" to start with?
