I'm currently evaluating Visual Assist and just wanted to know if wildcards or regular expressions are supported in the 'Find Symbols'- or the 'Open File'-Dialog.

You can do filtering with multiple pieces of text (separated by a space), which has the same effect as wild cards. This works in both the Open Files in Workspace (OFIW) and Find Symbol in Workspace (FSIW) dialogs.

You can also exclude items from the list by putting a minus sign at the front of a word.
So in FSIW the filter string path result -text will list all symbols with "path" and "result" anywhere in their name, regardless of order, that do not have "text" in their name. Hopefully this makes sense  |
