Did you ever consider about providing a functionality similar to STLfilt (http://bdsoft.com/tools/stlfilt.html)?
STLFilt has, let's say, the most stupid "installer"  and its functionality is very pour, having such good approach in UI designing you could extend its idea very much  . |
