Posted - Feb 14 2007 : 12:03:32 PM I don't know how complex is to implement highlighting the line where the cursor is, but I think it would be very nice feature. VA helps us to write the code faster, so why to not help us more Most editors offers such function and I'm wondering why MS didn't implement it directly into VisualStudio.
Many people is looking for such add-in, but without success I saw it only in SlickEdit gadgets tools and RSharper. SlickEdit is indeed for free, but completely slows the navigating through the code. RSharper is used for C# only, it doesn't support C++ and also interferes with VA.
Do you think that this feature could be implemented into VA?

Posted - Feb 19 2007 : 2:04:56 PM You might want to look into the free Slick Edit Gadgets plugin, which offers the ability to highlight the current line. The (less than satisfactory) results of my tests using VS2005 and VA 1544 are here:

Thanks for the quite positive answer. Indeed it's probably very hard to answer this question, but even though I have to ask you when we can await it implemented in VA? |

Posted - Feb 14 2007 : 1:21:44 PM We are considering this feature:
case=51
Before the arrival of Highlight All for Find References VA never tried to change the background colour of text in the IDE, since this was so hard for us to do reliably across all the IDE's we support. |
