When the auto-complete menu is shown, there are ten buttons that when clicked effectively filter out unwanted items. Are there any hotkeys for these buttons? I haven't been able to find such shortcuts.

It's quite tedious to grab the mouse every time you want to use a filter. Wouldn't it be convenient to have shortcut keys like:
Ctrl+0, Ctrl+1, ..., Ctrl+9? (Or Ctrl+Shift if there is a conflict with VS.)

Unfortunately there are no current keyboard shortcuts, but we are looking to add some:

case=359

For now you may want to try turning on Acronyms and Shorthand within VA. This is not the same, but they are very useful to help you filter the list when typing, once you get used to them:

Turning on:
VA Options -> Advanced -> listboxes -> shrink when possible

can also help.
