Posted - Jun 02 2007 : 1:41:40 PM Greetings,
I was wondering if it'd be possible to add a "Copy formatted/colored source to clipboard" option that preserves VAX's customized syntax highlighting when copying code snippets, since we often copy such snippets into documentation manuals, and formatting (i.e. coloring) them manually is a tedious process.
I tried the Copy Source As Html plugin for VS, but it only copies the default VS syntax highlighting, which is very primitive. |

Posted - Jun 04 2007 : 06:07:05 AM We are considering doing this for VS2003 / VS2005, but these IDE's copy HTML to the clipboard, which is quite a bit harder to parse as source code than the text that VC6 copies:

Posted - Jun 02 2007 : 3:13:03 PM I'm using VS2005, and I can't see how printing helps...I'm looking to copy code snippets from VS and paste them in an HTML editor. |
