Posted - Jun 17 2007 : 8:30:04 PM Currently, I get very frustrated indeed with the tabbing order of documents. What seems intuitive to me to open new documents to the right of existing tabs, VS2005 opens them to the left and I can see no way in the editor to revert this functionality.
I'm not alone on this matter: http://blogs.msdn.com/saraford/archive/2004/05/14/132065.aspx (Scroll down to about half-way)
I've Googled many times to no avail. I do apologise if there is already a fix out there somewhere on the interweb for this but if there isn't, it would be great if VAX could force tabs to open to the right for me.
Thanks. |

Posted - Jun 22 2007 : 08:19:22 AM I have asked internally to get a second opinion on this. I see the appeal, but I also see some of the problems with doing this properly from within VAX. |

Posted - Jun 19 2007 : 11:54:41 AM This seems to build on top of merging cpp and header files into a single tab, which is a big thing on its own:

Posted - Jun 18 2007 : 10:07:05 PM That also seems like it would be a nice addition.
Obviously the tab interface should be configurable so those happy with the existing functionality can keep it. I worded that a little incorrectly before.

Posted - Jun 18 2007 : 4:17:32 PM My main concern here is that different people have different views on how they want the tabs in the IDE to behave, I know this from the various suggestions that have been posted here.
I recently came across this:
http://www.zero-one-zero.com/vs/
but they only have a plugin for controlling VS2003 tabs. |
