The "Rename" feature renames all methods found corresponding to the class and method-name. If there are overloaded methods they also will be renamed. A feature to disable renaming of all overloaded methods could be usefull, so rename works only of the right overloaded method type.

Also a feature to rename upwards in the class hierarchy of "virtual" methods could be nice.

Currently VA does not distinguish between different overloads of the same function. This is why alt-g does not know which overload to jump to, and offers you all of them.

We are considering changing how rename handles overloads, but this will have to wait for our parser to understand overloads properly:

case=2732

Renaming in base classes as well as child classes is something we are working on:

case=3346
