Posted - Jun 12 2008 : 07:04:51 AM OFIW is really helpful. However, when I search for files that exist in multiple projects, such as "stdafx.h" I end up with a list where it is hard to find the file I want.
Suggestion Bold items which are located in the Startup Project! At least those where file names are present in multiple projects (usually resource.h, stdafx.h...). |

Posted - Jun 12 2008 : 12:08:06 PM How do you define the active project? We may be talking about two different things. For me there is a "bold" project in solution explorer, which is the project that contains the "main" that is run. Everything else tends to be a dependent project.
Is this what you mean by the "startup project"?
case=764 is asking for a column to be added to OFIW listing the project the file is stored in, which should do what you want, so long as the projects have distinct names. |

Posted - Jun 12 2008 : 08:18:24 AM Sounds great, but don't forget to mark the active project somehow. Usually you are interested in the "Startup Project". |

Posted - Jun 12 2008 : 07:55:19 AM The IDE allows you to add a single file to multiple projects simultaneously, which complicates showing the project in the OFIW dialog.
We are considering adding the project or projects that a file belongs to, to this dialog:
