Moving my problem from https://forums.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19103 to avoid polluting that thread, as the suggestions there don't appear to have worked.
I tried the reset to default in Fonts and Colors first to no avail. I've also tried importing the provided vssettings file and I still have the blue/red colors for my text editor. I've rebooted and restarted a number of times previously, and restarted after applying the settings.
The colors are being applied correctly in the VA Navigation bar. |

Thank you for the settings, I should have said to zip them, the settings were rejected on your first email, but you saw that, thank you for re-sending them.
Can you please try pressing the button:
IDE tools menu -> Options -> Environment -> Fonts and Colors -> Use Defaults
this fixes the problem for me, so it should work for you.� Your VA colours are actually set in the IDE options dialog, rather than being unset, and simply picking up the default values.� Since the colours have been set, VA is not changing them when your IDE theme is changed.� If they are at their defaults, then VA will change them when you change your theme.
As for the forum email, have you subscribed to this forum thread, to be emailed about replies? I am just double checking, to work out what is going wrong. |

I have been using the default Dark theme, and am now using the Blue theme to be able to read my code. When I first start VA, I think I see the colors properly (perhaps the VS defaults?) then the blue/red scheme pops in.

It sounds like you are seeing a similar problem but with a different trigger.
First to double check, which IDE and version of VA are you using?
What do you have:
IDE tools menu -> Options -> Environment -> General -> Color theme = Blue / Light / Dark / Blue (Extra Contrast)
set to? I am wondering if you have a different theme, due to installing a theme extension.
Can you please export your VA and IDE settings and send them to me:
VA Options -> Performance -> Export Settings
IDE tools menu -> Import and Export Settings -> Export selected environment settings
I can then import them here and see if I can reproduce the problem, and hopefully find out what is going wrong here.
