Hi,

in VS.NET 2003 the backspace key is not working in the Context combobox:
If I put the cursor in that Context combobox and start typeing a few letters to select a method or function from the current file I can use the cursor keys and <del> to remove characters to the right of the cursor but not backspace to remove characters to the left of the cursor. It is the same for the keys <Pos1> and <End>

Bye,
SvenC

We can reproduce this problem. It's isolated to VS.NET. Probably been around for a while. Expect the fix in 1209.

Then let me add that you have the opposite effect in VS6: DEL does not work but Backspace does. (FIW, SIW, Context)

Wow, Uniware has just hit 300 posts. Is there any higher title than "Guru" on this forum?

many moons ago I lowered all the levels so people could see their stars as they post. of course, at that time, i didn't expect there to be any user who would post 25 times per day, every day. i was thinking about changing the levels back again.

And No, Guru is the top and gets assigned at 100 posts.

I believe you changed it after a sarky comment by me back in August (http://forum.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=667).

FWIW, I think the levels are about right now.

"Tomato Guru"?? A new goal to reach for!

BTW, it's "snarky", isn't it? I thought only English majors used that word...

What about "Passionate Bug Hunter"? I'm somewhat allergic to (raw) tomatoes.

It's definitely "sarky", because it's a colloquialism for sarcastic. Is it purely a British expression?

Really? That's interesting... Yes, I think it must be "Chief. Brit.", as this is the first I've heard of it... "Snarky" (according to the dictionary) means "irritable or short-tempered", but I've always heard it used to mean "petty and mean-spirted"... Any day you learn a new word is a good day - thanks.

Interesting. I didn't realize we changed it twice. I was looking at the names this morning hoping to come up with some witty name for each rank but I drew a blank and put in Tomato Guru to see if anyone noticed. I kind of like that level name.

Got any suggestions for level names and the number of posts to reach that level?

Woo hoo, I've become a "Ketchup Master"! Only another eight posts, and I'll become a "Tomato Guru" though, which is possibly less exciting . Maybe Uniwares can be awarded "Lycopene Addict" when he reaches 500?
