Running under VS2003.net my VA view window is empty. It just tells me that "this is the visual assist X tool window", but it does not show anything else. No matter if I load a workspace, solution, project, single file...
Could I have it back please? |

How do you enable it in VA.NET 2002?
I have installed VA_X in VC6 (VA-View shows automatically), but I have yet to find the option to show it in VS.NET 2002! All I see in VS.NET 2002 is the Standard Class-, Project- and Resource-View in the Solution-Explorer! |

I've just this week started playing with .NET 2002 for the first time ever, and I also don't see the "VA View" tab... is that how it's suppossed to work?

You should find a "VA View" item in the View menu of VS.NET.
Getting the VA View to appear consistently is difficult with the interface available to us. We will take another look at improving the behavior. |

Where? (German Version)
From top to bottom: - Solution Explorer - Class View - Server-Explorer - Resource-View - Property-Window - Toolbox - Waiting CheckIn-Procedures - Webbrowser - Other Windows (no Va-View in there!) ...

Nope, not for me in .NET 2002... that's a bad place for it anyway. I would never have thought to look there. I know, it's the "View" menu, so that's where it should be in theory, but I still would expect to find it under the "Assist" menu. Kind of keeping all the WT stuff together...
And the "Assist" menu should be called "VAssist" or "VAX" or something. I'm brand new to the .NET IDE this week, and it didn't dawn on me for several hours that "Assist" meant you guys. I thought it was just another new part of the IDE...

Well, that was easier for me, cause (as you see on my screenshot), all Menues are in German except "Assist", so I found that one pretty quick (well, I also had the advantage of already using VS.NET for several month).
But you're definitely right! The Menu should be called "Visual Assist" or something like that. |
