I'm getting deformed completion list boxes coming up when I press Ctrl+Space. Sometimes only the left half is being drawn, as if they are clipped. Sometimes the highlight vanishes when I move the cursor. Sometimes only a few of the entries are drawn. I had one that was much larger than it should be and mostly filled in black.
This PC has a Geforce FX 5600. I've noticed tooltips look broken in just about every program on this PC -- they're often too short or too wide, and if too wide the excess is just filled in black. So it's possible this is a driver problem, but I mention it here in the hope that we can find out...

It occurred to me just now, I could turn hardware acceleration off. So I set it to "Disable all cursor and advanced drawing accelerations" in the Display control panel bit, and now VAX' list boxes look much better. (And the tooltips work, amazing!) So I guess it _was_ a driver issue.
Sorry for the bother; maybe this will help others with similar problems, though?
