Happens in both VS7.0 and VS7.1 - the two additonal drop boxes appear at the top of the source code file, the context menu appears, typing items seems to work. No access to settings or anything else. Using currently avialable version as of 1/26/2004 |

We use the VSIP interface for our toolbar, solution tab and menu. Apparently it's failing.
We use the Add-in interface for the Context and Definition fields, and typing.
The first time you install VA X, we reset all toolbars, tabs, and menus. It's an evil side effect of VSIP. Thereafter, we prompt if you want the reset -- useful, we think, only if we give you new menu and toolbar items. VSIP documentation says we should not give you the option.
Are your problems occurring after an initial install of VA X? If not, did you let VA X reset toolbars, tabs and menus?
Do you mind resetting manually? http://www.wholetomato.com/x/support/faq.html#reset |

I received no prompts at all to reset toolbars. After exiting and re-entering VS7.x, the menu and tab pane shows up, but are inactive - that is, they do nothing. The drop-down combo boxes for the items vanished at that time. After this, I uninstalled the product. Larry: issue is that the product does not work. |

"Not work" is severe but vague. We assumed you had trouble with our toolbars and menu given your topic subject.
Given a missing menu, missing tab and broken combo boxes, we'd same the install went poorly. Something in your environment is causing grief for us. Perhaps you have other add-ins or VSIP-products with which we conflict.
In any regard, your uninstall is wise. You might wait until we hash out some problems, one by one, then install in a few builds from now. |
