Hello all,

I've noticed and old friendly implementation topic (buglet?), which was also in VA 6 and VA 7.1.

I have an if-statment with a rather great deal of lines between the start and closing braces. When I place my cursor just before the closing brace (}), the definition bar states only a slash ("/") instead of the matching if-statement.
The opening brace ({) behind the if-statement isn't displayed in bold.

How can I solve this in the new beta? Is it again changing a setting in the registry? And if so, which one and what will be a good setting?

Thank you in advance.

With kind regards,
Patrick Luja

P.S. I'm using build 1215

What is the default for this variable at the moment? I suggested some time ago that you might like to consider increasing the default from 200. I have set mine to 1000, which works a lot better, and I haven't discerned any performance penalty.

Hello all,

I stumbled upon this older posting. I rechecked my settings and detected that the option "LinesScannedBack" was resetted to 200. Is it resetted at the installation of every build?

I had this option set to 1000. I also I don't notice any performance penalty. (I must say that I have a rather fast machine at my work.) So maybe the standard can be increased to 400 or 800?

With kind regards,
Patrick Luja

I'll check this tonight and will assign a feature/improvement wish to the BugBase.
