I had assumed that the problem with the toolbar buttons not doing anything was because that functionality had not been connected up in the beta. But it seems it is just me.
I am running on Windows 2000 Professional SP4, and VSNET 7.1, Visual Assist X V1216
Whenever a new version of Visual Assist X is installed, the first time the IDE is run, the IDE never appears after the splash screen and I have to start the IDE again. When I open a workspace Visual Assist X correctly reparses all the files. Code completion works fine but everything on the toolbar. The menu also does nothing, except for Tools\\VA View which correctly shows the VA View tool window

Something is whacked with your setup. VSIP integration is not happy. Not uncommon.
We suggest uninstalling all versions of VA (including VA X and VA.NET) and starting your IDE. Make sure VA X does not appear in the splash, menu, Tools|Customize|Toolbars, or Help|About. If so, let us know which.
Reinstall build 1216 and reset toolbars if you are prompted for it. |
