Under Completion Settings the current options are:

[x] Display suggestions ... accept with
        [x] tab
        [x] return
[x] any character not valid in a symbol

This setting works really well for me most of the time except for the space character. In local code and loops I tend to use a one or two character names. As soon as I hit space VA fills in something (obviously since a single character will match almost anything). I think a third option for acceptance would really help a lot. My suggestion is to add space as an acceptance option.

[x] Display suggestions ... accept with
        [x] tab
        [x] return
        [ ] space
[x] any character not valid in a symbol

Allowing a user to turn off space as a completion character would allow for short-cut completion (don't have to press tab) about 60% of the time since most objects are followed by . -> [ ( and other non-space characters. It would eliminate the problem of VA mistakenly filling in single character names.

Thanks,
David Ferguson

Yes, I certainly second that!

I really often have to correct 'accidental' completion.
I would remove the 'space' in a heartbeat.

If the suggestion just would work ALWAYS then the "any character" option would be what I'd go for. More often than not, VA suggests something which is not what I want to write, and if I type for example "WriteF" which is defined in the current class, then VA will suggest "WriteFile" which is not what I want, so any char like ( or space will complete the suggestion which I have to correct.
