I just tried to install Visual Assist 4.1.3.1237 with Embedded Visual C++ 4.0, but I get the error "This product requires that Microsoft Visual C++ 5 or 6 be installed (error 2)."

Is there any way of installing it without having Visual C++? I only use the embedded tools.

Make sure you install VA 4.1 after installing embedded visual C++. If VA 4.1 was already installed, reinstall it.

You might need VA 6.0 with eVC 4.0. Try VA 6.0 if VA 4.1 still does not work.

Embedded Visual C++ is already installed. I have never installed VA 4.1 on this machine before. I did have a demo version of VA.NET installed (VANETSetup1106.exe) but I uninstalled this a while ago.

I do not have a key for VA 6.0 since I bought my copy before April 1, 2002. I don't want to pay for a new one because I am perfectly happy with VA 4.1.

We believe VA 4.1 support eVC 3.0 only. You need VA 6.0 for eVC 4.0.
