I think that nodes which auto-close on you when selection changes are very annoying. Can they stay opened? |

We assume you refer to our options dialog which closes one node when you select another.
Annoying or not, we modeled our behavior after the options dialog of VS.NET. |

Weird - I'm just the opposite. I hate it when they *don't* close, because then I have to scroll up and down, searching through all these open folders...
I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong; it's just a matter of personal preference. From a developer's point of view, though, things like this interest me: no matter which way they do it, they're going to annoy half of us. The only alternative is to add a "preference" for it, and then you end up with 1000 checkboxes for minor feature-ettes like this, which just add to the complexity of the UI.
I wonder if there really is a solution for this kind of thing? Maybe some kind of adaptive approach that would somehow "learn" which way you like it? ...
