Unless you've got no shipping products based on 2002, then I'd leave it installed.
They exist side-by-side quite happily, although opening a sln/proj in 2003 upgrades it (makes a 2002-compliant-backup first, though).
Because the C++ compiler's improved its standards conformance a lot between 2002 and 2003, you might find that previously-compiling code breaks on 2003.
I changed to 2003 when my "2-yearly reinstall XP"-Cycle was due... Common knowledge says both IDE sit happily next to each other... I wouldn't bet any money on that one, though...
But be careful! 2003 changes the .sln file so you cannot reopen it in 2002 anymore!
