I just got the .NET 2003 IDE dropped on my desk. Anyone have any experience with going from 2002 to 2003? Should I uninstall 2002, or leave it? ...

Unless you've got no shipping products based on 2002, then I'd leave it installed.

They exist side-by-side quite happily, although opening a sln/proj in 2003 upgrades it (makes a 2002-compliant-backup first, though).

Because the C++ compiler's improved its standards conformance a lot between 2002 and 2003, you might find that previously-compiling code breaks on 2003.

HTH,

Will

I changed to 2003 when my "2-yearly reinstall XP"-Cycle was due...
Common knowledge says both IDE sit happily next to each other...
I wouldn't bet any money on that one, though...

But be careful!
2003 changes the .sln file so you cannot reopen it in 2002 anymore!
