Right-click in the MRU or HCB (but not the three one-line windows in the VA View). A menu pops up. Now left-click on the title bar of the whole VS window. You get the Restore-Minimize-etc. menu that you normally get if you click on the icon on the top-left of any app.

What an extreme tester - how on earth did you come upon this one ;)
Its true for VS6 and VS.NET 2003, too.

Oh, quite by accident, I'm afraid. I just left-clicked well away from everything in an attempt to dismiss the menu. |

If you're already on the mouse, it's quicker just to click somewhere else. Although I have also noticed that I seem to be more mouse-orientated than many developers. |

On a side note, I have noticed that under XP it happens more often that the right-click becomes somehow "sticky", so when you after right-clicking somewhere, left-click somewhere else, the application sees a right-click. This is not local to VAX or the IDE but also happens in other (MFC?) applications. Pressing ALT or ESC helps. |
