One small irritation is that tooltips may pop up for items which are hidden under other windows like menus, or even application. To repro, either open a context menu, move the mouse out and back in. If there is any tooltip-worthy item at the location UNDER the menu, the tooltip will pop up. Same when you have top application window overlaying the source window.
