I had used Visual Studio .NET (the first .net) on this machine, without Visual Assist, but I found out I had to down-grade to Visual Studio 6.0 Interdev to do work at my company. I've been trying to get Visual Assist X to install, and the IDE of vs6 isn't changing at all.

I thought it might have been the stable build, so I tried the beta: same results.

I next went through my registry and eliminated any trace of the string "visual studio .net" to see if that helped - again, nothing.

So I'm seeing if anyone here has any clues - I can't get any hint of Visual Assist to show up in my installation of Visual Studio 6, and I can't find any traces of VS.NET in obvious (and not-so-obvious) places on my system.
