The following happens to VS2003.NET on startup when I dock the VA view where you see it on the shot and make it sticky. When I dock VA to the bar at the left and make it autohide, all is fine. This did not happen in the builds before I believe.
And, after resizing the window to fullscreen:
Which reminds me of the various reports of the black frame other people have experienced. |

From what we can tell, the problem occurs if you dock the VA View before creating the vertical bar, ie the one for the Auto-Hide windows. If the vertical bar exists, then you dock the VA View, the window layout is okay.

No, the problem happens only when I dock VA to the horizontal bar which is not auto-hide. Actually, I moved VA from the vertical bar to the horizontal one, to have it available always. |

Strike this one from your list. Its definitely a bug in VS2003.net. I can repro this without VAX loaded. Reset the window layout, the arrange the bars as you see on the shot. They key seems to be that you have two bars on the left, one auto-hiding. |

Hence the real reason for the "Reset Window Layout" button in the IDE options dialog. |
