You can either a) mail the pics to support and beg them to upload them onto their webserver or b) put them on your own webspace (assumed you have one) and link to there.
thanks for case comment, now I try mail pics to support. |

Which IDE are you using, 6.0 or .NET?
Is this "Comment using selection" a custom Template? Would you mind posting the source of the Template in here?
It should look like this:
readme:
Code Templates follow. All entry names contain a space.
Comment using selection:
// %0

I do not see such a problem on my system: Win XP (ENG), Visual Studio 6.0 SP6, VA X (build 1240). BTW, it would be nice to have some info about your configuration/settings (VA X -> Options -> About -> Copy info...). It is really hard to figure them out of screenshots |

...by the way, you can easily comment out selected Text by selecting it and pressing either '/' or '*', so I don't really see a need to make a code-template for that... |

WannabeeDeveloper, yes it is Comment using selection. Source code of template:
TODO using selection: //TODO: %1. [%DAY_02%.%MONTH_02%.%YEAR% %HOUR_02%:%MINUTE% +?+?+?+? - %FILE_BASE%.%FILE_EXT%]
I use VS 7.1 IDE version 7.1.3088
May be trouble in russian fonts?
Also I hawe same problem in Navigation bar. Screenshot post later. |

It looks like IDE or VA X messes up encoding. Are the fonts for tooltip and editor window different? Workaround: make your comments in English
2WannabeeDeveloper: May you try to put something "German" (umlauts) in the comments and then Comment/Uncomment like Werewolf? |

I could, but: a) I do not have such a Code Template for commenting a selection (and I already wrote the reason why) b) I select my "to be commented" Text and press either / or * and it IS commented...
I still don't see the reason for a Code-Template although the functionality is already implemented into VAX by default?!?
And it works with German Umlauts... |

Code Template I use for frame some code regions like:
// bla-bla-bla. a++; c = a + b; ... // end of bla-bla-bla.
what is very useful when framing code region is big.
I also have some problems:
This is VAX paste menu screenshot:
This is "open file in workspase" menu screeshot: (this problem only in VAX 1240)

Werewolf: We have your info. Since you state you are in trial mode, you should assume during your evaluation that VA X does not support Russian fonts embedded in source. As we replied to your post of May 19th, we are unlikely to support Russian fonts any time soon.
http://forum.wholetomato.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2326
We acknowledge that supporting Russian fonts will make you more apt to purchase a license. We are simply unable to implement a fix any time soon.
Please evaluate VA X accordingly.
Thank you for your understanding. |
