Whenever I press Alt-M to open the ListMethodsInCurrentFile drop-down and then select an item by typing the first few characters of the function name and then press escape, it still moves my cursor to the position of the function. Is this the intended behavior? I think the Esc key should close the drop-down and leave the cursor where it is. Is there a key I an press to dismiss this drop down after I've selected an item without affecting the cursor position?

Doesn't work that way for me in .NET 2003, VAX 1242 ... which IDE and VAX version are you using?

As Larry alludes, you probably just need to install a newer version of VA X. Get the latest from:

http://www.wholetomato.com/downloads

We can reproduce the problem in build 1244. VC++ 6.0 only. (We must have fixed for one IDE, not the other.)
