the biggest weakness of VS6 for me is (i'm still using it) the inability for a user to add file formats that it does not know about.

i know about the usertype.dat file but this has the unfortunate result of colouring all items in a single colour.

does VA have the capability to add new file types with keywords, enums, etc being coloured differently?

If you have C/C++ or C# code in files with non-standard suffixes, simply tell VA X what they are.

If you have an entirely different language, the answer is no.

See topics 1599 and 1787 for earlier discussions on this. People ask about it from time to time, but I've always been convinced that they're underestimating what would be required.
