I have a licence for VA6. I downloaded and installed VA-X, I ran msvc6 and re-entered my licence. Then I ran .net 7.1. The VA-X seems to be working, but the "about" box doesn't show any licence. Will it expired in 30-days? do I need to buy an upgrade?
According to the Upgrade Policy, you will have to, because your License was valid for VS 6 only.
Unless it wasn't a "Multiple Platform" License (for both VS 6 and .NET), you need to buy an upgrade. Your upgraded Visual Assist X License will then work in BOTH IDE's! Please verify for yourself at the Upgrade Policy Website.

yes, i read the "upgrade policy website" but it is confusing, and that's why I asked here. When the page says "...product upgrades are free until March 31, 2005." is means an upgrade from VA6 to VA-X is free but only if I don't upgrade my compiler also. If I upgrade my compiler I have to pay another $49. :( So now I suppose I have 30-days to get addicted. :)
