The Find Symbol Dialog in Build 1277, does not work any longer. It just shows a message box. Problem shows up in VS.NET and VS6

BTW: The packed file for Build 1277 is much smaller than the last one!

Ahhhh. I didn't saw the Public Beta forum. Since month I am using an entry in my favorites to open this forum.

Sorry for this.

Huh? Verson 1277 is 2500 KB. Version 1276 is 2500 KB. Version 1274 is 2499 KB. You must mean all the way back to 1246, which was 4184 KB. Yeah, I wonder why that is...

My guess is that it's something to do with the new dictionary.

Oh yeah... hey, are you suprised that we haven't heard anything about the OP's issue? Seems like kind of a show-stopper to me. When things like this happen, I always have two scenarios alternating in my head:

They don't understand how bad it is because we've left a word out of our post, or used a turn of phrase that could be taken two ways: "I wasted no time in reading your memo", for example.

Or, they're feverishly trying to get the code into a buildable state so they can ship 1278, and are too frantic to even post here.

Your comment reminds me of two things.

1) One of the most famous cartoons in the British satirical magazine Punch was published in 1884. It was a parody of a Pears soap advertisement of the time, and it showed a dishevelled tramp writing a letter to Pears, saying "I used your soap two years ago; since then I have used no other".

2) Closer to home, I managed, entirely inadvertently, to write in the front of my Ph.D. thesis "I should like to thank my supervisor, Professor Frank Kelly, for his guidance, and at times patience". Ummm... if you're listening, Frank, I meant it in a good way.

case=386

We suspect this problem is due to a loss of a code change during a merge. Ugh.

We are "feverishly trying to get the code into a buildable state so we can ship 1278."

I haven't heard this one before.

I love it.

I actually used
quote:
I can't recommend him too highly.
when a friend was applying for a job at Los Alamos (the sprelling is just a guess) and told me he used me as a reference. I told him I was going to use that line and when the FBI agent was interviewing me I did use it but so much is given away with your inflections and body language that the agent caught the joke immediately. My friend got the job by the way.
