When I press Ctrl-Space after typing _drawD, I am offered two completitions:

_drawDensity
_drawMergerShadow

(Both symbols really do exist in given scope)

I can see a little logic in the second one - I understand I can be a kind of shorthand, but a very strange one.

I don't get it. Why is the second one strange? It has a "d" in it... makes perfect sense to me.

If I were an autocomplete machine, my reasoning when seeing drawD would be: "The big D means there will be some word staing with D. I will not match this with _drawMergerShadow, as no "word" starts with D here.

The difference between my reasoning and VAX reasoning might be that I am used to work case-sensitive, and I have very little tendency to match D with d.

By design, and after much testing, VA X ignores case (for the most part) during matching of shorthand.

We believe your reasoning is fine because you know "Density" begins with a 'D'. If you guessed wrongly, VA X couldn't help if it was so tied to case. For the most part, we relax the rules on case since you don't always know the correct case, and since you might get sloppy sometimes.
