I just installed the 1277 version to get the juicy new upgrades, but after install most of the syntax coloring was missing (a lot of defines, namespaces, member/local variables and function names got colored white inconsistently) when opening up source files. I've did a forced rebuild of the symbol table, deleted the history and restarted .NET and the solution repeatingly, but no change in the behavior. I've just installed 1246 again and all coloring came back instantly.
All in all not much info, but just wanted to let you know!

Was it just coloring or was VA not able to find the definitions of the symbol? If you click on an identifier that should be colored, did the definition show up in the definition field of the VA wizard bar?

Can you try "Use defaults" in Tools|Options|Environment|Fonts and Colors?

Close the dialog and see if things are okay. If so, use the dialog to set your custom colors.

It could find the definitions of the symbol just fine. Trying the "Use defaults" button did the trick. Now (after setting my custom colors again) all the coloring is correct again. thanks!
