Any ideas why VAX 1283 would be throwing an exception at VC 7.1 startup? I've uninstalled all WT builds, with the problem continuing to persist. The error message is unknown and the result code is 0x800a0030.
IG??m running on a Dell dual XEON 3.2GH system with 2GB of ram and boat load of disk space. The video card is a spiffy ATI dual head.
I would love to use the new features in VAX, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

If you have any other add-ins or packages, try disabling or uninstalling them to see if there is a conflict. Use Tools|Add-in Manager.
Did any prior builds work? 1246? |

Hello, I don't have any other plugins, add-ins, and or other packages installed. The only add-in I use is VA. IG??ve also tried 1246 with no luck G?? it resulted in the same problem.
I've gone back to VA 1106, but now I'm having problems with VA syntax highlighting. This is a little frustrating. Perhaps I should try to nuke my VC 7.1 install and start from there... Note that my VC 7.1 install seemed to be behaving before I installed 1283.
Thanks. |

As for syntax highlighting, try "Use defaults" in Tools|Options|Environment|Fonts and Colors. |

Hello, I managed to fix the VAX 1283 startup bug by uninstalling VC 7.1 and VA 6.0. After re-instaiing VC 7.1 I was able to get VAX 1283 to startup without crashing.
Thanks. |

We believe we have a fix in build 1298 for the "Error number: 800a0030" problem which does not require a reinstall of the IDE.
If you have the problem, can you try build 1298? Just install over your existing build. If it fails, reinstall the build that works for you.
