When the hovering tooltip attempts to show Japanese text, for instance when hovering over the resource ID of a Japanese string, the Japanese text is displayed as dots. The English portions display fine.

This wasn't a problem with version 10.0. I suspect you changed to using a specified font face in the tooltips, rather than a system font.

Do you have a fix/workaround for this?

We think this is fixed in build 1288, mind giving it a try?
