Bring up the VAX options dialog in the IDE. Now select a completely different app as the active window, but leaving the options dialog visible underneath. Hover over an option. The balloon help still appears, but when it does, the options dialog itself vanishes. This is disconcerting!

I can't reproduce this... hmmm... what exactly is the 'completely different app'? I used the Windows Calculator applet.

No, I can't reproduce it either now. I was convinced this would be one of those bugs that always occurred.
I observed it first with Mozilla, but I then tried it with a cygwin window (essentially a DOS window) too. |

I was just able to reproduce this behaviour by simply using Internet Explorer.
If you move the pointer off the balloon and then click back on the visible portion of the IDE, the options dialog does reappear though.

| I just tried it, and (because of my Windows settings, I know), it opened the page in this very browser that I'm typing into right this moment. So, when I tried to use the Back button to get back to this page, it wouldn't work: I had to pull down the menu below the Back button and pick this page by hand. I wonder what causes that... |

Unfortunately I didn't try the hyperlinks, and now when I try, the problem doesn't occur. Ugh. |
