Here's a minor problem I've just noticed with a VAX tool tip:
I was working in (C++) when I launched Windows Explorer. As soon as I hovered over a folder, the following tool tip appeared:
I think the screen shot is pretty self explanatory; The "Goto Implementation" hotkey that we use in VAX, is displaying a tool tip when hovering over a folder in windows explorer.
Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce this at this time.
I'm using VAX 1298 VS.NET 2002 and Windows XP Pro.

I didn't ever see tooltip appear when i am not in the IDE (VC.6), but situation when it is 'stuck' on screen while switching applications is pretty common. I can't come up with a repro case though... |

This used to happen a long time ago. Looks like it's back.
Oh, and it will do it over any window outside of the IDE. |

Just got it! Must be magic - i swear i didn't see it ever before!
Can be related to dual monitor configuration. |

Baga,
I'm not sure if (by your statement above) you are wondering if it could be caused by a duel monitor configuration, or that you currently have a duel monitor configuration, but as for myself, I only have a single monitor. |

Dual monitor has nothing to do with it. I forget what the last version was when I saw this, but I am currently using 1293 and it doesn't happen.
If I remember correctly, it had something to do with noticing a focus change or not properly tracking the mouse to know what window it's over. |

Interesting. Baga, I too am using VC 6, but on Win2K and cannot get it to happen. It used to do it all the time, and when it stopped, I thought that they had fixed it. I guess they just "kind of" fixed it. ;) |
