Build 1299 doesnt do it for me. It is obviously installed and loaded into the IDE (VS2003.net) but thats all that it does. No syntax coloring, not one of the buttons in the toolbar is enabled, the options dialog does not open up. I cant enable or disable it.
Never seen that before. Am back to 1287 now. |

have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?
1299 works fine for me, so it is possible you have a corrupt download. my 1299 exe has a size of 3,040,314 bytes. |

Have you ever installed a build and seen our tip-of-the-day? Build 1297 or later?
Perhaps our tip-of-the-day is bombing. It opens a window with an IE control inside.
Does IE launch on your PC?
When you have time to retry, install 1299 and launch your IDE. Exit and send us our startup.log. |

Argh... had to reboot again to get it installed. No, there was no IDE running, neither any other MS product.
Well, at least 1301 seems to work correctly again. |

the working theory is that MS Excel 2000 causes the VA installer a problem is that i am using some extension / plugin (probably auto save) that relies on some VB dll, which is causing VA problems.
so if you have some program with scripting support open, perhaps one of the MS Office family this could be the cause.
all very vague i know, but the idea may help point you in the right direction. |
