I have been using Visual Assist for several months with Visual C++ 6.0 and I just love it. However I had to recently uninstall it because it would make my development environment very instable (read crash within 1 or 2 minutes).
Uninstalling Visual Assist X does NOT solve the problem but installing reinstalling Visual Studio and not reinstalling Visual Assist does which gives me strong confidence that the issue resides within Visual Assist.
I have read in some other post about a 17000 file limit. Is this true? My include paths probably includes that many files now. If it is, are there any ways around this?

Thank you,

Yves Tkaczyk

We suspect your problem was not from VA X but rather from a large or corrupt NCB file. This is why the problem remained after uninstalling VA X.

Try exiting your IDE and creating read-only NCB files for your project(s). Read more at:

As for the file limit, ... No, there is no limit in VA X.
