 Opening a workspace is very slow in release 1301

I just upgraded to version 1301, and now opening my main workspace (which is very big, I agree) in Visual C++ 6.0 takes 3-4 minutes, instead of the 10 seconds with version 1298. I'll have to rollback to 1298... :-(

I found out that Visual C++ temporary files for my workspace were corrupted at the same time I upgraded VAX, thus causing the enormous delay. Deleting those files solved the problem.

I don't think the corruption is related to the upgrade... its probably just a coincidence that it happened at the same time.

the IDE's seem prone to corrupting files all on their own *sigh*. still i am glad this is fixed
