I had this problem below for a long time -- and today realized I was not alone with this problem so decided to ask.
When I double-click on a *.dsw file the VC++ (6.0) opens but the workspace does not. The dsw file is good -- I can load it later without any problem, and that is what I always have to do.
Having got used to it I stopped noticing this, but today one of my colleagues installed VisualAssist and complained that his .dsw did not open in the same scanario as above, so I decided to ask for an advice.
Would anyone have any advice on how to fix the issue?
I have not had this problem using VS 6. I'm always loading my project from a shortcut to the .dsw file from my desktop. I'm running on two separate NT4 platforms, one with VA 1246 and the other with VA 1300. So I don't know. Is VC 6 the same as VS 6? What OS are you using?
You describe a problem we thought we fixed long ago.
What build of VA X do you have?
sorry for not including this with the original post: Here is the product I have: Alas, it has been installed originally as VA 6.0 (not sure what build) and then upgraded to the VA X. Few days ago I updated it to the 1301.
