There's an option "Parse all headers when opening a project", which I don't check, because it takes too long to open bigger projects. But sometimes I'd like to invoke parsing of all project files, because VA doesn't know some symbols. There's only a button "Reparse current file", which is usually unnecessary. I would prefer a button like "Parse all project headers", or sometimes even "Parse all workspace files".

i think what you want is to press the: VA Options -> Performance -> General -> Rebuild symbol databases button
and then to restart the IDE. this will reparse all workspace files. |

I think this is what he doesn't want to do...
Should be possible to tell VAX to reparse the Workspace without restarting IDE, shouldn't it? |

WannabeeDeveloper is right, I don't want to rebuild the whole database (including stable includes and sources) and especially I don't want to restart the IDE. I just want to parse (not even reparse, just parse) all project files on demand. |

*ah* i got the wrong end of the stick there.
i am assuming you are using a solution with multiple projects inside of it. if so then are you after: * reparse all open files * reparse all headers in the current project * reparse all files in the current project
or something else? i want to get the right idea this time the problem is defining the current project. you can get the IDE to show you the current file in solution explorer, which is one way to identify the current project.
i don't know of any way to do this, so i will put in a request once i understand what you are after. |

Maybe this will be more clear: I want to do the same what does enabling the option "Parse all headers when opening a project" on demand, not when opening a project/workspace/solution. Defining the current project has nothing do to here. And trying to answer your question, I'm after reparsing all that VA reparses with the option turned off (that is probably stable includes and currently open file). |
