The insert is from a std::vector<tstring> (tstring is typedef'd as std::string)

I'm not getting any of the autotext showing up either.

In the C++ autotext, I see the if is there, but when I type if in the code, I don't get the suggestion.

I'm using this on 2003 .Net

Wrongway you are having a separate problem.

can you check your options to make sure that autotext is enabled. what version of VA are you using? do any autotext rules work? can you check this in a different project, to see if it is somehow code specific.

AutoText is enabled, and it is the same in both projects. I'm using build 1424 with .Net 2003. I don't seem to get any of the autotext stuff. I do get the suggestions from the intellisense(sp).

if you load the autotext editor:

VA options -> Text Editor -> Autotext -> Edit Autotext

are you seeing autotext rules for C++? if you add a new autotext rule and shortcut does this get suggested when you type in the shortcut?

what happens when you press the "Insert Code Template" icon on VA's toolbar. if nothing else you should have a list of autotext under the menu "Autotext with shortcuts".
