And, while we are looking at this:
1) why the hell is it "std.string" when std is a namespace?
2) why is std, const, char, int and bool colored grey in the tooltip?

At least you got colored Tooltips...

At my system, colored Tooltips stopped workin somewhere after 1418, which we're still investigating...
So, I cannot even try to reproduce your problem with wrong coloring, since I got no coloring in Tooltips at all!

comment cascading down, i have memories of discussing which comment applies to which item once, a year or more ago. at the time there was the point that some comments apply to an entire block of code, so they are shown for all items in that block. i suspect it is that coming back and biting us.

case=833

"std.string", VA is doing this in the definition, context and alt_m lists as well. i will ask support about this.

bool, etc being gray in the tooltip, i am getting the occasional grey word in tooltips over functions, but nothing constant or reproducible so far.

Actually I see a lot of falsely applied comments, totally unrelated. Things like, the last comment before the first function in a .cpp file is applied to most functions in that file if the function does not have a comment on its own. Weird stuff.

thats just odd. i have just tried a simple test of this. 4 functions in a cpp file, only the first function has a comment, where the comment is on the line above.

i am only getting this function comment some of the time, but i cannot guarantee that all of the tooltips are coming from VA. so far i have not been able to get any tooltips for other functions with this comment attached to them.
