While editing a .rc file in text mode, I've got he following error:

---------------------------
Visual Assist X
---------------------------
Error writing to file:

c:\\program files\\visual assist x\\vc7\\cache/abd8.prt

No error
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

From here on, this error was shown every once in a while, obviously after editing and VAX's reparse. (Before you ask: disk is not full, 11+ Gb free)
Besides of the annoyance there seems to be no other effect.

are you editing the rc file inside the IDE? every time i try that it refuses to show me the text in the file.

how have you accessed text mode?

right click on the .rc file in the solution view, select "Open with" -> source editor.
