When I type "cpp" (without quotes) in the FIW edit field, the list is reduced to all files containing cpp. But when you type a leading dot (".cpp"), no filter is applied.
For certain files in large projects it might be necessary to use a leading dot to filter what you need.
e.g.: I have a few dozen files containing XML/XSL in the filename, but also a few .XML/.XSL files.
