When writing code, VA often makes an annoying beep, and writes "0 symbols found". It happens often after writing just one character, when it should find lots of matches (maybe too many?). What's more strange, it also happens writing an opening quote or bracket. Some examples:
- strTemp.Format("<<== beeps here
- s<<== beeps here, but only first time, if I delete it and write "s" again, I got a menu
- if (<<== beeps here (and ")" is appended)
- if (), now delete ")" - beep

Hello Cezariusz and all others,
I've noticed it too in VS.Net. Just type some functions and two round brackets. Then play with these brackets (delete one, retype it; delete both and retype them; delete one, retype it twice and delete one of the two; etc.) I frequently hear the beep. (I didn't get the message "0 symbols found" as Cezariusz did; but I didn't take a look at the status bar.)
With kind regards, Patrick Luja |
