I'm using VAX with VS.NET 2003 on an LCD monitor with ClearType enabled, and the most visible first impression from VAX is an abundance of "broken ClearType" (text drawn with ClearType antialiasing but shifted about half a pixel so that red subpixels in characters don't match red subpixels on screen, which totally breaks the entire meaning of ClearType). This happens, for example, in the pop-up member list and tooltip windows provided by VAX.
In my programs, I typically see such behavior when text is drawn through GDI+ (or System.Drawing functions of .NET Framework). To fix this, I call the standard GDI text drawing functions through interop.
Would it be possible to fix these drawing problems? |

Sounds like we have a similar configuration. I'd like to see a screen shot of what you're talking about. I haven't noticed this on my LCDs. Thanks, Darren |

Same config, no problems (except for the one which seems already fixed) Might be interesting to know DPI settings, resolution, color depth, etc. |

I'm using Windows XP Prof, LCD in 1280x1024 (which is its native resolution). Here are some screenshots:
