Today, I tried out the trial version for the first time, and boy do I love it. Unfortunately, I only got to tinker around with it for about 5 minutes at a time, because it's causing my computer to crash over and over. Can anyone explain why this might be? I'm interested in purchasing the software if I'm able to verify that I can even get it to run properly :D

I'm using WinXP SP3, and Visual Studio 6 SP6.

Please help.

This is very strange, Visual Assist should not cause anything like this.
Did you use the same combination of hardware and software before you installed VA without any problem? Blue screens are usually sign of hardware or driver problem.

Are you using any other Visual C++ 6 addins?
Are you using any program that make changes to the appearance of your Windows, eg. WindowBlinds. Can you think of any unusual software on your machine, that changes its behavior?
As a wild guess, have you tried updating your Video card driver?

You may want to turn on logging and send the resulting files as described here:

On the off chance it gives us a clue about what is happening on your machine.

Have you downloaded the latest build? (1845)

You know, upon further investigation I'm starting to wonder if it IS in fact a hardware issue. I'm currently restoring an image of my machine (which is fresh out off the box WinXP SP3). I'm going to let the machine run for awhile and see if it's infected by a blue screen. After an hour or two, I will install the latest build (1845) trial version, and I'll let you guys know what the results are.

Thanks for the reply!
