One thing I've always been curious about is the selected item in suggestion lists. When typing a name in the editor the suggestion list pops up with a list of items (as normal). Sometimes there is an item preselected in the list and sometimes there isn't. Why the difference? Personally I would prefer to always have something preselected as its quicker when the correct match is found.
I haven't figured out yet why it chooses one way or the other. It seems random. Overall it's not a big deal, but it does seem to be a strange inconsistency.
There is a registry key, given in this FAQ entry, that you can use to tell VA to always place focus into a suggestion listbox. The FAQ also explains (hopefully successfully ) why some suggestion listboxes do not get focus by default:
