Installing VAX seems to disable my font and size options for Visual C++ 6. (both font and size are empty, I have to manually enter in a font size for the dialog to accept any of my color changes, however I'm am stuck with my current font)

Which OS are you using, and is it a 32bit or 64bit OS?
This reminds me of something I saw when trying to run VC6 under Windows Vista 64bit, but from vague memory that happened even without installing VA. |

This definitely happens only when VAX is installed, if I disable VAX and restart my IDE I get my options back fine, turn VAX back on... gone. |

I am seeing the same effect here. Thank you for the clear description.

I am also seeing that you can set the font when VA is disabled, and the changed font is kept when VA is re-enabled, so this is a good work around for now. Hopefully you don't need to change the VC6 font to often. |

No, I don't change the font often, however both the font and size are missing, and I do tweak my colors a semi-often, and I have to manually enter in a 10 for size, in order for the dialog to accept my new settings, its a minor annoyance, but still annoying.
Thanks. |

Are you trying to find a colours scheme you like, or changing between 2 or 3 known and well liked colour schemes?
I was simply thinking that if you were changing between known colour schemes you could try using regedit to export your VC6 settings, and just reimport them to change your settings as and when you want to. Using regedit to export:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\DevStudio\\6.0\ should do this. |
